Brick Lane

Afternoon all...just thought Id do an update on my baking shenanigans this weekend. So Friday I baked all the cakes for the stall (I have at Upmarket).....I made approx 300....then Saturday I iced them (I really need to be able to do it all in one day but its just soooo tiring). Then Sunday was Brick Laneeeeee yippee.....and it was pretty busy I have to say, the sun was out which bought out all the shoppers and with it being Mothers Day lots of people came out days out with their families which was nice to see. I had a new spot and it was great apart from being opposite all the food stalls, which then lead me to have curry for breakfast, oh comme on! It looked so good, I couldnt say no. :-)

Also I have been offered a permanent stall which I have accepted, so am now waiting on confirmation from the market lady...I feel so on edge and anxious, and will do until I hear from her...eeek. Its totally like being on X-Factor I reckon, when your just waiting to see if you have got through. So nerve racking. So soon you could see me there every week which is extremely exciting.

Ok got to go...works calling....but Ill be back tomorrow hopefully with an update on baking and life. Also now I have joined Twitter I have come cross Ellas Bakehouse which I have to say has some lovely looking cakes. If only my icing looked as good....ah, one day hey.

Anyway toodles. Mwah .x

The start...

Well I am officially at the beginning of my blogging adventure....where to start. I warn you from the start I can talk a lot and sometimes I dont make sense (so Ive been told lol) so bare with me while I get my feet grounded.

So a good place to start, issss...at the start, and see here we are....Soooo I have recently started my own company called Pat-a-Cakes, Im a one woman band based in South East London and have a stall in Brick Lane on Sundays where I sell my cakes. I make cupcakes, large cakes....all sorts really, for events of all kinds, wedding birthdays....you name it Ill do it and am always willing to give new things a try if I havent done it before. People tell me my cakes are yummy and I agree lol, as I am not one of these people who does not eat their own cakes..no no nooo, I love cake of pretty much any variety and flavour, so love trying new recipes. I think I eat too much cake for my own good.

This blog is going to be following me in my Pat-a-Cakes journey....hopefully ending up in my own shop (one day) and taking a look at what other bakers do, because I also love looking at other peoples creations. Im not one of these people who likes all the competition and rivalry, I like to get on with everyone and think we can all help each other out, and like people who are of the same mindset.
